Hi, please call me Mok - all my friends do. I come from Malaysia, a beautiful country with diverse ethnic groups and cultures. I have been here since 2011 together with my wife and daughter.
I graduated from my medical college in 2000, then after my intern year spent more than three years as a medical officer in district and tertiary hospitals. From 2005 to 2011 I worked as a private General Practitioner, before moving to Melbourne with my family. I have experience working in many different fields: internal medicine, anaesthetics, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, laboratory; and most recently my focus has been emergency medicine and management of chronic diseases.
When I first arrived in Australia, I was amazed by the healthcare system which ranks as one of the best in the world. The effort and concern that the Australian Government puts on health has broadened my view, and there is much to learn and explore. Also the process to gain accreditation in Australia has been a challenging one, and I would like to particularly thank Floyd and Nathalie for their assistance and the opportunity to serve you here at Carrum, in this warm and happy Atticus home.
