Charlotte’s medical career began in nursing because she wanted to be sure she was becoming a Doctor for the right reasons. Charlotte completed the first year of nursing training, loved every moment and transferred to complete her training in medicine. “Being a nursing student was a very grounding experience. I learned to value every individual’s role within the Health Care System. I am very fortunate. I can honestly say that every day of my life I wake up and want to go to work.”

Charlotte has been a GP at the Glebe Family Medical Centre since 1996, stating she joined “because the practice is ethical. We go out of our way to look after all our patients however complicated their needs may be”. As well as being a doctor in Glebe Charlotte is actively engaged in medical education and is heading Primary Care Research for University of Notre Dame, Australia (Sydney School of Medicine). Charlotte is currently doing a PhD in the area of “Reducing CV disease: Translating an evidence based quality improvement tool into ‘real-world’ general practice”. She is Chair of Central and Eastern and Sydney Primary Health Network (CESPHN), Board Director on Asthma Foundation Queensland /NSW and Deputy Chair, Royal Australian College of GP’s for NSW/ACT Faculty.
