Dr. Chandra Patel, FRACS has had more than 25 years’ experience as a highly respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He attained his initial medical degree in the UK (1973). He has undertaken extensive plastic surgical training throughout the UK, USA and Australia. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Since 1997 he has held several senior positions in the ACT, one being the Head of The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Unit at the Canberra Hospital which is associated with the Australian National University (ANU), Medical School, a world leading University involving the supervision and training of prospective plastic and reconstructive surgeons. His public hospital work is now based at Calvary Hospital offering a valuable service to patients who are not insured privately.
