Dr Caroline Scarman graduated from medicine in 2002 having completed her degree at the University of Queensland. She subsequently undertook her hospital training at Hornsby and Mona Vale Hospitals. Dr Scarman has worked extensively in rehabilitation and geriatric medicine before deciding on a focus of family oriented General Practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Prior to her medical studies Dr Scarman completed degrees in Biomedical Science (primarily Microbiology and Biochemistry) and has a Masters in Clinical Biochemistry. Her work in pathology included being the chief Scientific Officer for the Australian Regular Army and involved several overseas deployments including Rwanda and Iraq. She was also the Medical Advisor to the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia.

Dr Scarman and her family have relocated to the Central Coast. They enjoy the coastal life and caring for and being involved with the local community.
