Dr Carol McCabe aims to provide the best of old fashioned GP care using up-to-date modern medical approaches. She has a strong interest in mental health, having worked for a number of years in psychiatry in both Newcastle and Tamworth. She also has a passion for children’s health, and was awarded the ‘Carl Mason Memorial Prize’ in paediatrics from the University of Newcastle in 2006. She enjoys teaching and is currently a senior tutor for GP trainees preparing for their fellowship exams. She also keeps up-to-date by working in the Emergency Department. Carol is committed to the physical, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing of each patient and their families and is passionate about providing continuous and comprehensive care to her patients, in particular those with complex medical needs.
