Carla graduated from her undergraduate medical degree from University of NSW in 2000. Since then her training has been diverse, spread across major Sydney teaching hospitals, to outback and rural Australia. She has had training in areas including general medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, neurology, emergency medicine, mental health, geriatrics.
She has done focused courses in integrative medicine, has a Masters in Psychiatry and has also done a sexual health and family planning course with family planning Australia.
