After completing his medical training in 1975, Dr Blecher was among the first wave of young doctors to move into the rapidly changing field of radiology. From those early pioneering days, he has seen the speciality move to the forefront of preventative medicine with life-saving non-invasive scanning procedures. This is performed on the world’s best CT scanner the Siemens Dual Source Definition Force which is located at Bridge Road Imaging. According to Dr Blecher, building strong relationships with referring GPs, specialists and health professionals is the key to being a successful radiologist.

“Trust between the radiologist and the referring doctor is absolutely essential. I’ve been working with the same doctors for many, many years, and I feel personally responsible to do the right thing by them, as well as their patients. We trust each other to do our best for the patient and that’s one of the best things about my job. I work with top line doctors in all specialties, and I trust their judgement and their opinion and they trust mine, so I think that’s the essence of that relationship between radiologist and the referring doctors.”
