Dr Camelia Borta completed her specialist training in respiratory and sleep medicine in 2009. Amongst other procedures, she specialises in bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, resuscitation and non-invasive ventilation.

Dr Borta completed her medical training in Romania and South Africa and has provider status in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma and Life Support.

Dr Borta is a Clinical Supervisor to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students at Southern Health. She is also involved in research activity, having recently co-researched the relationship between asthma and COPD with the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Borta has held Specialist Registrar positions at the Monash Medical Centre, Western Hospital and the Austin and Repatriation Hospital. She holds membership of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, the American Thoracic Society and the Royal Australian College of Physicians.

Dr Borta provides clinical services to inpatients and outpatients in both General Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Studies.
