Caitlin studied at the University of Newcastle and upon graduating in 2010 she received the Australian Physiotherapy Award for Excellence in Paediatrics. Caitlin then obtained a position at the John Hunter Hospital, where she spent the next four years. During this time she gained valuable experience in fracture management, peri operative orthopaedics, hand therapy, chronic pain, neurology and other acute areas. Caitlin is currently on the board of the Australian Physiotherapy Association Hunter Regional Group and is an active member in promoting and organising professional development. Caitlin has completed a number of courses including the McKenzie low back and the APA Segmental Dry Needling. Caitlin has an interest in lower limb biomechanics associated with the ankle, knee and hip pain. Caitlin also has a strong interest in sports. She has played soccer for 15 years, and has experience working with rugby union, soccer and rugby league teams. Caitlin is currently working as head physiotherapist for the Newcastle Knights NSW Cup team. This role involves injury assessment and treatment of Newcastle Knights players, and working closely with the Knights medical team, conditioning and coaching staff to facilitate timely return to play.
