Dr Bruce Watts obtained his medical degree from the University of Sydney, graduating in 1984. He is married to Sue-Ellen and they have two adult sons and a lovely daughter-in--law. Dr Watts initially worked in a variety of public hospital settings for some years. He then entered general practice on the Coffs Coast for approximately 15 years. He undertook sports medicine training at the University of NSW in 2000 and has a special interest in this field. He has provided medical services to a range of major sports events and toured internationally with the Australian Touch Football teams. He has spent several periods of time working in emergency departments and has spent much of the past decade working in general medicine and surgery at Baringa Private Hospital. In 2008 he completed the fellowship exams for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In 2016 he undertook a six month study period, working and living on the Gold Coast during this time. Hobbies include bushwalking, cycling, surfing and watching other people do triathlons. He is very much looking forward to being involved in general practice in Coffs Harbour once again.
