Dr Bruce Hammonds is a Specialist Anaesthetist in full-time practice in south-east Queensland.
Dr Hammonds is locally trained in the Australasian system with specialist qualifications in both Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine.
Dr Bruce Hammonds Dr Hammonds graduated with his medical degree from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1996. He was awarded fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2004 and of the College of Intensive Care Medicine in 2008.
During his training and after graduation Dr Hammonds has worked in a range of hospitals including smaller regional and large tertiary hospitals in both Australia and New Zealand in anaesthetic and intensive care medicine roles, involving adult and paediatric patients.
Dr Hammonds entered anaesthetic private practise in 2010 and has been working fulltime as an anaesthetist in the private sector since 2013. He has extensive experience in the provision of anaesthesia in a range of surgical specialties. His particular anaesthetic interests rest in orthopaedic surgery of the upper and lower limbs, urology, particularly robotic prostatectomy, endoscopy and plastic surgical procedures.
