joined the practice in 1997, having moved from East Arnhem Land, NT, via Inverell. We soon realised this was the place to be, and have loved raising our family here and being part of the local community. My work has developed since then, pursuing an interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. I continue to enjoy all aspects of general practice, and work at The Cooma Hospital in Emergency and Anaesthetics. I am the practice GP registrar supervisor, and have enjoyed this role over the last 10 years, trying to sell the Rural Medicine life to GP's in training. General Practice to me, is all about trying to help people navigate their way through a complex and potentially treacherous medical system, helping them to make decisions about their healthcare. Away from work, I breed Dorper sheep, enjoy family bushwalks, and have just done my first (and possibly last) half marathon. I'm also a committed lap swimmer at the Cooma Pool.
