Dr Loy graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2004 and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2009, obtaining the top mark in the General Practice clinical examination. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health, Certificate in Travel Health and a Certificate Course in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine, the Australian Medical Association and is on the examination panel for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Loy has worked at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She has hospital experience in emergency medicine, various medical specialties including cardiology, respiratory, renal and geriatrics, psychiatry as well as orthopaedics and general surgery. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, including inserting Implanons, removal of IUCD’s, doing skin checks and excision of skin lesions. She has a special interest in Travel Medicine and also works at the Travel Health Clinic in Fremantle. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, keeping fit by running and doing pilates, as well as learning the Argentine Tango and French.
