Dr Bill Gong is a specialist general surgeon. He obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014 after completing training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
He and his wife Esther decided to spend a few years in Perth when a Fellowship opportunity arose. He completed his first year of Fellowship in Emergency Acute Surgery at Fremantle Hospital.
During his second year of Fellowship, he worked at Fiona Stanley Hospital with a sub-specialised focus in hepatic, biliary and pancreatic surgery.
Now callingPerth home, Dr gong is employed by the South Metropolitan Health Service, consulting and operating at Fremantle Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Rockingham Hospital.
Dr Gong started private practice at St John of God Hospital earlier this year, joining rooms with Associate Professor Harsha Chandraratna.
He welcomes referrals and sees patients at Suite 27, Murdoch Medical Specialist Clinic. Dr gong also participates in the on-call after hours roster at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
