Doctor Mishra has more than 30 years of experience working in the medical field. She graduated in 1988 and completed her post-graduate studies in India, specialising as an Ophthalmologist in 1991. Dr Mishra worked as a consultant ophthalmologist until moving to the UK in 1996 where she took some time off to look after her children. Dr Mishra arrived in Adelaide in 1999 where she worked as an honorary registrar in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for an 18-month duration. Dr Mishra then began working as a medical officer in the busy Emergency Department of the TQEH and continued to work as a senior medical officer for 11 years. Teaching and taking regular tutorials for medical students, ED interns and RMO’s has been of particular interest. Bhavna joined the GP training program in 2011 and worked as a GP registrar in various clinics for 3 years before achieving fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice. She also participated in courses at the Women’s and Children’s hospital where she gained a Diploma in Child Health. Dr Mishra likes to practice medicine with "an extra care factor" for her patients. Special interests include paediatrics, dermatology, women’s health and ophthalmology.
