Dr Ashley Wallin (GP)

Experience Dr Wallin is a current serving member of the Royal Australian Navy. He was initially trained as a Pilot flying fixed wing and rotary aircraft and subsequently switched career to medicine. He has been deployed as a medical officer to Afghanistan and on-board Navy ships at sea.

Special Interests Dr Wallin has a passion for assisting patients to optimise their body weight and composition, specifically by targeting the reduction of unwanted body and visceral fat whilst increasing skeletal muscle mass and tone. Dr Wallin enjoys promoting weight loss through low carb diet and encouraging exercises that incorporate high intensity interval training (HIIT).

Dr Wallin also enjoys conducting preventative health assessments, and is one of our few doctors who is qualified to complete Diving Medicals.

Diving Medicine Dr Wallin has completed the Medical Officer Underwater Medical Course with the Royal Australian Navy Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit. He is qualified to do Recreational and Occupational Diving Medicals.

About Ashley grew up in Melbourne and first moved to Perth in 2005 when completing flight training. In 2011 he returned to Perth to complete medical training in Fremantle at the University of Notre Dame Medical School. Dr Wallin enjoys playing sports and keeping fit in his spare time, and is a passionate AFL supporter.
