Dr Ashokan completed his specialist paediatric training at The Children’s hospital at Westmead in Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has more than 10 years of experience working in paediatrics through various metropolitan, regional and rural paediatric and neonatal units.
Dr Ashokan currently works as a consultant paediatrician at Sutherland hospital. During his acute paediatric on-calls, he looks after sick babies and children admitted to the paediatric ward and neonates in the Special care nursery.
Dr Ashokan enjoys looking after newborns, infants and children up to the age of 16. He is skilled to manage children with developmental, behavioural ( including ADHD) and congenital issues. He is also trained to manage common paediatric medical problems including asthma, allergy, eczema, reflux, feeding difficulties, poor growth, constipation etc. He has special interest in feeding and settling issues in newborn.
Dr Ashokan’s kind and compassionate approach puts children and parents at ease. He takes utmost care and time in communicating with the parents whilst addressing their concerns. He enjoys working with parents, carers and all health professionals to achieve the best care for his patients.
In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his two kids and family.
