I am an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon and was born in Tasmania. My career has allowed me to study and train in almost all states of Australia. Most of my sub-specialty training was undertaken at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide and the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. I was drawn to the Riverina by family in Temora and the potential to add value to the Orthopaedic service in Wagga Wagga.
I am dual qualified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Podiatry and my practice is largely focussed on the management of lower limb pathology. I have post-graduate fellowships in Hip and Knee arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery); Sports knee surgery including Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction; Foot and Ankle surgery and also Orthopaedic Trauma.
I have presented original research in my areas of interest, both nationally and internationally, and continue to have a strong desire to provide up to date techniques and services to my patients. These include minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, computer navigation of joint replacements and the newest innovations in arthroscopic techniques.
I am an Associate Clinical lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. I participate in the on-call roster for Orthopaedics at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and operate at Calvary Hospital, Calvary Day Procedure Centre and the Riverina Day Surgery. I consult in both Wagga Wagga and Temora.
I endeavour to see patients in a timely fashion and make appointments available for urgent cases where possible. My colleagues and I at Riverina Orthopaedics are committed to providing the highest standard of care and work closely with local allied health services to obtain positive outcomes for our patients.
