Annette is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist with 20 years experience working with adolescents and adults. She has a special interest in disordered eating and body image, pre- and post-natal issues, chronic mental health conditions (including personality disorders, chronic mood disorders and pain disorder) as well as acute mental illness. Annette is passionate about helping women and girls heal their relationship with their bodies and food and has developed the Body Compassion Group with Emma Sampimon (Dietitian).
Annette is skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Adolescent Focussed Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy.
Annette has trained in Family Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa and is a Health at Every Size practitioner. Annette joined Affinity Women’s Health in May 2016, after running a solo private practice for 12 years in Frankston and working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for 5 years. She consults four days a week, with after-hours appointments available on two evenings.
