Dr AnneMaree Bickerton is a Senior Psychiatrist who has recently established the Caring with Families Program at The Hills Clinic. This program builds on AnneMaree's extensive experience and interest in working with the families of someone with a mental health issue. The program takes a whole-of-family approach to mental health challenges across the lifespan. AnneMaree trained as a doctor and Psychiatrist at RPAH and then went on to complete her specialist training in child, adolescent and family psychiatry at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Sick Children in London. AnneMaree has developed a national reputation for her work in developing family-friendly adult mental health services across NSW for the last 13 years. She has published articles and the innovative "Connecting with Carers" resources and has presented at many conferences and community forums. AnneMaree was privileged to be invited to give a keynote address about this work at the 2011 Australian and New Zealand Psychiatrists Annual Conference. Annemaree also worked for many years with high risk children and adolescents and their families and schools and has published the Safety First Model related to this work.
