Dr Sambell completed her medical degree from the University of Notre Dame Sydney in 2011. She worked as a junior doctor on the Central Coast of NSW (Gosford and Wyong Hospitals) before moving to Tanzania in 2014. During her time in Arusha, Tanzania Dr Sambell worked in paediatrics and obstetrics and was particularly involved in the neonatal intensive care unit and medical teaching programs. Since returning to Australia in 2016 Dr Sambell has worked in Scone as a GP Registrar and a Visiting Medical Officer at Scone Hospital. Dr Sambell has her Diploma in Child Health and loves the variety that general practice offers. She is particularly interested in Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health and Paediatrics. Dr Sambell and her fiancé love travelling and they recently built a preschool in the Maasai village of Engaruka in rural Tanzania. They look forward to exploring the beautiful Forster area in 2017.
