Dr Anna Lazzari (Psychiatrist)

Dr Anna Lazzari is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in General Adult Psychiatry. She also has a special interest in Intellectual Disability, Eating Disorders, Military and Veteran’s Mental Health and Brain Disorders.

Dr Lazzari completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (Honours) at Monash University in Melbourne. She also completed her Masters of Psychological Medicine at Monash University, and trained at Austin Health in Victoria before moving to Townsville in 2008.

Dr Lazzari previously had the role of Chief Training Supervisor for the Townsville Psychiatry Registrars. She currently holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the James Cook Medical School since 2008.

In 2017, Dr Lazzari was appointed the Chairperson of the Townsville Private Clinic Medical Advisory Committee and also the first female Chair in Healthe Care Australia.

Dr Lazzari is keenly interested in building resilience, brain health and promoting a full recovery in individuals who experience mental illness.
