Dr Angela Yates is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Wahroonga and Icon Cancer Centre Gosford.
Dr Yates earned her medical degree at University of Sydney in 2006. She has also completed a Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry) and Bachelor of Arts (International Studies). She completed her internship at The Canberra Hospital and residency and training at Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital, St George Hospital and The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney and was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2014. She is currently completing a Master of Medicine in clinical epidemiology at University of Sydney.
Dr Yates has also held positions at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney specialising in gastrointestinal and head and neck cancers as well as completing a research fellow in central nervous system and lung cancer at Alfred Hospital, Melbourne at the Radiation Oncology Stereotactic Radiotherapy Clinic.
She is passionate about delivering quality evidence based care to patients in a caring and sensitive manner. Dr Yates also has a strong focus on being actively involved in research, teaching and college activities. She hold memberships with Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Group (ANZUP) and Australian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG).
Dr Yates has a wide-ranging practice with particular interests in the treatment of malignant disease, gastrointestinal, head and neck, central nervous system (CNS) and lung cancers.
