Dr Andrew Hart (Palliative Medicine Specialist)

Dr Andrew Hart received his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 2002.

He spent his junior medical career at Royal Perth Hospital including rotations to Port Hedland and Swan District before undertaking advanced training in Palliative Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Murdoch Hospice, leading to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Palliative Medicine Division.

Since this, in addition to commencing work at St John of God Subiaco Hospital with their palliative care service, he has continued running the Kalamunda Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Perhaps somewhat foolishly, he has strapped on his soccer boots again after a decade's absence from the game, with the predictable pulling of a hamstring.

One of three boys, Andrew is also attempting to get in touch with his feminine side, having had his heart stolen first by his wife Elizabeth the Echocardiographer, and more recently by daughter Aurora, who's slowly becoming more like her namesake Sleeping Beauty.
