Dr Andreas Fiene is a thoracic, transplant and sleep physician. He is seeing patients with respiratory and sleep complaints. He is particularly interested in chronic respiratory illnesses and their influence on breathing related sleep disorders.
Dr Fiene graduated from the Hanover Medical School in Germany and finished his house year in Cheltenham, UK. Dr Fiene completed his residency and physician training at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia. He first came to Queensland in 2009 for a one year fellowship in sleep medicine. Further fellowships in lung transplantation at the Prince Charles Hospital and at the prestigious St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney followed.
