Dr Anand Choudhary has been a well-known psychiatrist in the Caboolture and Strathpine area and comes with more than 17 years of experience in psychiatry. Dr Choudhary commenced his practice in psychiatry in 1999 while in India and worked at one of premier Institute in India, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India.
Following his migration to Australia in 2003, he obtained his fellowship in Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and has largely spent last 13 years with Redcliffe- Caboolture Public Mental Health Services in different capacities as Senior Medical Officer, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director. During these years of clinical practice, Dr Choudhary engaged with the local community, primary care and is well aware of local psycho-social context.
Apart from successfully conducting psychiatric assessments for clinical and medico-legal purposes and utilising skillful pharmacological treatment approaches, Dr Choudhary has also acquired skills in supportive psychotherapy as well as other contemporary psychological therapies
He has special interest in treatment of:
