Amir was born in Penang Malaysia and moved to Australia in 1995 where he studied at the University of Western Australia. Since graduating in 2003 he has worked at Royal Perth Hospital, Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, Bunbury Regional Hospital, Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital, Swan District Hospital, Bentley Hospital and Armadale and Kelmscott Memorial Hospital.
In 2013 as part of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner training requirement, he moved to Geraldton with my family. On completion of his GP training in 2016, he fell in love with Geraldton and decided to call it home. Amir achieved his Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioner in 2016 and is also a member of Australian Medical Association.
He is married with three children, two daughters and a son. His wife is also practising here at Batavia Health.
