Dr Alison Lyons has always had an interest in nutrition and Integrative Medicine and is excited to be now offering this to the Margaret River area . Dr Lyons received her medical degree from Imperial College London, England in 1999. She also has a degree in Clinical Infectious Disease from the University of London. After moving to Western Australia in 2001 and spending several years working in the Emergency Department and other hospital placements she honed her skills in various areas of Medicine. As Dr Lyons has been practicing as a General Practitioner since 2005 and in that time has had a great deal of experience, particularly during minor procedures. As a General Practitioner, Dr Lyons practices appropriate & safe evidence based medicine, with a particular focus on prevention & lifestyle interventions.
Dr Alison Lyons has extensive knowledge and experience in Nutritional Medicine, Women’s Health, Hormonal Imbalance, Mental Health, Paediatric behavioural disorders and and all area of General Practice. She holds a diploma in Womens Health and a Certificate in Skin Cancer and has undertaken training with the Australian College of Nutritional Medicine (ACNEM) and specific training in Injectable Nutrients, Gut microbiome and much more.
She is highly regarded and sought after for her expertise and experience working as a GP who follows an Integrative Medical approach, incorporating evidence based functional testing as necessary to help her patients get to the root cause.
