Dr Alice Lam qualified as a doctor in 1998 from the University of Manchester, and worked as a GP in England from 2002 until 2008 when she moved to Melbourne with her partner.

Alice's special interests include digital health, telehealth, mental health, women's health, health promotion, and chronic diseases. She is interested in exploring patients' personal health goals and concerns as part of an individualised approach to optimising health and wellbeing.

Having previously worked in several clinics in Bayside Melbourne, Alice first moved completely into telehealth consults through Telstra Health in 2019. Writing is one of Alice's great passions, hence her role as a freelance medical writer in addition to clinical work. Her medical degree facilitates communication about complex or technical medical issues in a way that is easy for the reader to understand, without losing the message. She has produced a wide range of accredited CPD modules for HealthCert Education, an international provider of medical education for general practitioners. Alice is a member of Hepatitis Australia's Editorial Committee, the Australasian Medical Writers Association. and the Australian Society for Psychological Medicine.
