Dr Alice Lam qualified as a doctor in 1998 from the University of Manchester, and worked as a GP in England from 2002 until 2008 when she moved to Melbourne with her partner.

Alice's special interests include digital health, telehealth, mental health, women's health, health promotion, and chronic diseases. She is interested in exploring patients' personal health goals and concerns as part of an individualised approach to optimising health and wellbeing.

Having previously worked in several clinics in Bayside Melbourne, Alice first moved completely into telehealth consults through Telstra Health in 2019. When the service came to an end, it gave her the perfect opportunity to join Fullerton (now Partnered) Health Australia, as they innovate in the GP telemedicine space.

Writing is one of Alice's great passions, hence her role as a freelance health / medical writer in addition to clinical work. Her medical degree facilitates communication about complex or technical health / healthcare issues in a way that is easy for the reader to understand, without losing the message. Alice is a member of Hepatitis Australia's Editorial Committee, the Australasian Medical Writers Association. and the Australian Society for Psychological Medicine.
