Originally from Grafton, Dr Alex graduated in 2011 from the University of Notre Dame in Sydney. Completing her internship at Tweed Hospital, Alex joined our Robina Town Centre practice in February 2015. Spending 6 months in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tweed Hospital in 2014, Dr Alex is currently completing a Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney and Westmead Hospital. She is also training in Mirena Insertion at the Family Planning Clinic, Tweed Hospital. When she’s not working or studying Alex enjoys playing netball and spending time at the beach with her partner and their dog.
Special Interests and Expertise Dr Alex provides antenatal shared care with Tweed Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, as well as referrals to relevant local organisations for miscarriages. She can provide comprehensive contraception advice and conducts Implanon insertion. Dr Alex’s non-judgmental and relaxed approach ensures patients of all ages including teenagers/adolescents are comfortable to discuss any aspect of sexual health.
Alex also treats many simple fractures meaning patients can avoid a trip to the fracture clinic at the hospitals. She liaises with the hospital orthopaedic team when needed to ensure patients are given the best treatment options. Dr Alex is experienced in wound suturing and laceration repairs.
