Dr Loch joined Orthopaedic Toowoomba in 2014. Having grown up in Toowoomba, it was very satisfying to return to work in his home town.
Dr Loch completed his Bachelor of Medicine in 2003 at Queensland University and worked in South East Queensland for five years after graduation. He completed his Orthopaedic training in Victoria and Tasmania before returning to Toowoomba.
Dr Loch’s practice is general orthopaedics. It includes:
Joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder. Arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and hip, including injuries such as ACL reconstruction and rotator cuff repairs. Foot and ankle surgery such as bunion correction and management of arthritis. Trauma surgery. Dr Loch has a special interest in training of the local Orthopaedic Registrars at the public hospital. He is currently the regional Director of Orthopaedic Training at Toowoomba Hospital. This involves regular tutorials, assessments and supervision of a growing research program.
