After completing his medical degree at Sydney University in 1982,
Dr Cameron trained as a GP, but has been working exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers for more than 10 years.
He is a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and holds the title of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he is undertaking postgraduate research into improving the early diagnosis of melanoma.
Dr Cameron is co-author of a textbook in early diagnosis of skin cancer and is active in educating GPs in this field.
He has spoken at conferences at all levels, from small groups of local GPs to large international conferences.
Dr Cameron’s practice focuses on the care of patients who are at extreme risk of melanoma and other skin cancers. As a new patient you can expect a full skin check from head to toe.
Dr Cameron performs most skin cancer surgery including when necessary, more complex flap and graft repairs.
