Dr Akber Alamyar is our senior male doctor. He works in our skin clinic & has been apart of the Westpoint team since 2007.

“I was born in Kabul the capital of Afghanistan. I migrated to Australia in 1977. I obtained my MBBS degree from UNSW in 1989, became a fellow in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997 and a fellow in the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine in 1999.

My first job was in Melba Health Centre in the ACT as a GP, followed by work in country towns ie Tamworth, Connabarabran, Wagga Wagga, Orange, Oberon and Bathurst in addition to Sydney.

I have been a GP for 24 years. After completing a cosmedical diploma in 2010 my special interest lies in skin, skin surgery and cosmetic medicine. My other interests include gardening, golf and volley ball (for which i am a certified NSW coach. I am also a member of the Rotery Club of Oberon.”
