Dr Adrian Chung graduated in medicine with honours from the University of Tasmania in 2001. He underwent training in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide and Westmead Hospital, Sydney, obtaining his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2009. Dr Chung pursued a further year of postgraduate training in advanced endoscopic procedures at Westmead Hospital in 2010 under the supervision of Dr Michael Bourke. He has accreditation with the Conjoint Committee of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia for endoscopy, colonoscopy and both gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary-pancreatic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with fine needle aspiration. His interests lie in early tumours of the oesophagus, colon and pancreas. As well as general endoscopy and colonoscopy, he performs interventional endoscopic procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of dysplastic Barrett’s oesophagus, laterally spreading tumours of the colon and pancreatic solid and cystic tumours. Dr Chung is a staff specialist gastroenterologist at Flinders Medical Centre. He also consults and performs endoscopic procedures at the Tennyson Centre, Western Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and Calvary Hospital North Adelaide.
