Dr Aditi Rai (GP)

Originally hailing from across the ditch, Aditi graduated from the Griffith University School of Medicine in 2013, after completing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Auckland. Since then, she spent several years from internship onwards in Cairns, gaining skills as a resident in emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, ENT and plastic surgery. Following this, Aditi worked as a registrar in general surgery for three years both in Cairns and more recently in Brisbane, before entering into general practice.

Although she is yet find her true niche within general practice, Aditi’s experiences thus far have instilled in her burgeoning interests in minor procedures, women’s health, preventive medicine, child and adolescent health, and palliative care. Her biggest passion however remains within medical education, and she has been actively involved with medical student and junior doctor teaching through her training years.

Aditi has been lucky enough to have had a varied and well-travelled upbringing in numerous countries throughout Asia-Pacific, and as such has developed an ability to communicate and establish excellent rapport with individuals of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. Outside of work, Aditi is a keen tennis player and artist, and also enjoys cooking, travelling, casual horse riding, and constantly expanding her circle of friends and family.
