Dr Adele Heyer is a general paediatrician. She obtained her primary medical degree and initial specialist degree in Family Medicine in South Africa. She moved to Townsville in 2006, initially working in general practice, before completing her paediatric training at the Townsville hospital. Adele enjoys treating a range of common childhood illnesses, enjoys looking after children with complex and special needs, children with neurological or neuro developmental and behavioural difficulties. She is also passionate about the importance of good nutrition and physical activity to maintain mental and physical wellbeing. Given her previous experience as a GP in Townsville, she understands the impact illness can have on family life and the importance of holistic care when providing healthcare for children.
