Catherine is a registered Psychologist who primarily works with children and adolescents, with a range of presenting issues. Catherine has a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology and is especially familiar with issues that are likely to emerge across the developmental stages. She has worked across a range of educational settings, as well as in private practice and communicates effectively with people of various ages and backgrounds. Catherine works closely with young people and their families to address a broad range of challenges including: anxiety, depression, challenging behaviours, self-esteem, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and navigating friendship and social difficulties.


Catherine provides a warm, supportive therapeutic style which assists clients to feel heard and supported for positive change. When working with children, Catherine has a playful approach and ensures that children feel safe and comfortable within sessions. Catherine also enjoys working closely with parents to provide parenting support and effective strategies to foster healthy parent-child attachment.

In counselling sessions, Catherine draws on evidenced-based techniques most suited to the person and the issues presented. Catherine’s main therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Catherine has a particular interest in working with children and young people with anxiety based conditions and with using mindfulness techniques to assist clients to change their relationship with their thoughts and feelings.


Catherine also provides comprehensive cognitive assessments, as well as assessments of adaptive, behavioural and emotional functioning.
