Cairns Eye Surgery offers a fully comprehensive, state-of-the-art Ophthalmology service, with up-to-date technology. Dr Brian Todd and Dr Andrew Field have a special interest in Cataract Surgery, the treatment of Macular Degeneration and the management of glaucoma by surgery and laser.

Cairns Eye Surgery has two convenient locations. Our primary clinic is situated in Edge Hill, at the 5 ways roundabout. There is good parking and excellent public transport services at this purpose-built Specialist Centre.

Cairns Eye Surgery also has a clinic for the Tablelands’ patients, at the Atherton Hospital. This is a satellite clinic and is fully equipped to assess and treat most general eye problems. Patients seen at Atherton will have their Cataract Surgery performed in Cairns The Ophthalmologists in this practice have experience in examining, detecting, diagnosing and treating eye problems. Some of the conditions treated include: Cataracts, Glaucoma, lid tumours and reconstructive surgery, Macular Degeneration, Pterygium, retinal disorders as well as manifestations of medical conditions such as diabetes.
