Biljana is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has completed a Master of Counselling Psychology at La Trobe University and Honours in Psychology at RMIT University. In previous roles, Biljana has worked in both school and university settings to provide assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health concerns. She has also worked in hospital in-patient settings with individuals with more complex mental health concerns undertaking assessments, crisis management, and assisting with discharge into the community. Biljana has an eclectic and flexible approach to therapy, and tailors treatment to the individuals’ needs. Biljana believes that the fundamental aspect of therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship and approaches clients with an empathic, caring, and supportive nature. In combination with these underlying principles, Biljana uses evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, to assist clients. She has worked with individuals presenting with a variety of clinical issues and cultural backgrounds, and has a broad range of clinical interests including working with young adults, attachment, and interpersonal relationships. Biljana is registered to provide psychology services as a Medicare Service Provider, and is also a registered Service Provider with TAC and WorkSafe.
