Matthew Links trained as a Medical Oncologist in Sydney and then did a PhD at the Oncology Research Centre Prince of Wales. He then took up a research position at the Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow. He returned to Medical Oncology practice in Sydney in 2000 and has since established a practice focusing on Lung Cancer, Melanoma and Sarcoma.
He has active laboratory and clinical research interests as well as a major role in the improvement of cancer services through education. He has public hospital appointments at St George and Sutherland and is a Conjoint Associate Professor with the University of New South Wales.
