Professor Benness is one of 34 certified subspecialist Urogynaecologists in Australia. Following graduation from The University of Sydney he trained in both Sydney and London. He is a Senior Gynaecologist at RPAH where he is also the Head of the Urogynaecology Unit . He is active in teaching and research and is a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Sydney.
His main research interests are in improving surgical procedures for stress incontinence and prolapse.
