Amanda is a registered Provisional Psychologist who brings a caring, empathetic, and client-centred approach to therapy. She completed her Honours in Psychology at Monash University in 2020. Amanda will be completing her internship with us under the supervision of Ms Christina Hereford.
With a background in both Nursing and Counselling, Amanda has worked in a variety of settings, most recently, she has been a Counsellor in a secondary school for 8 years, working predominantly with adolescents and families, as well as developing and delivering both in class and small group programs. She has worked with a range of presenting problems including; anxiety, depression, anger management, bullying, self-esteem issues, family conflict, school refusal, behavioural issues, and stress.
Amanda is dedicated to working collaboratively with her clients in seeking a therapeutic approach that best suits the individual and utilises frameworks including, but not limited to; Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy.
Amanda is passionate about supporting her clients in building resilience, goal setting, and enhancing their quality of life. She is interested in supporting a range of clients across the lifespan with issues relating to relationship difficulties, stress, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and cognitive assessments.
