Amanda is passionate about fostering self-belief with her clients, helping to develop their individual strengths and allowing them to reach their goals. She feels privileged to be part of the “family team,” working collaboratively in providing an individualised approach to each client. Working primarily in private clinical settings, Amanda has more than 10 years’ experience as a (Clinical) Psychologist.
Amanda originally studied at ANU gaining a double degree in Psychology and Commerce. She then continued her education at University of Sydney and University of Western Sydney obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Science (Psychology) with merit, followed by a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental). Amanda is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist, as well as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist.
Amanda shows genuine and empathic concern for her clients, and is non-judgemental in her approach. She is approachable in her nature and is an active and patient listener.
When it comes to children’s health and development, Amanda feels joy and privilege to be part of the “family team”, giving the best possible start for the child through early intervention. She takes pride and pleasure in being part of the process in aiding the transition in children, adolescents and adults who face a range of emotional and behavioural challenges.
She is passionate about fostering self-belief with all her clients, helping them to develop their strengths and reach their goals.
Amanda’s clinical experience in providing individualised therapeutic treatment and assessments to children, adolescents, together with their families, as well as adults span over a wide range of psychological concerns. Amanda is experienced in treating individuals who present with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Anger Management concerns, Oppositional Defiance, emotional and behavioural difficulties. She understands the importance of tailoring treatments to fit the needs and the circumstances of each individual.
With an interest in emerging research in the field of Psychology, Amanda is open to discussing a range of therapy options for her clients. She believes it is important to find a therapy program that feels right for the client and works with their lifestyle, whether that be traditional therapy methods or to recommend more intensive programs.
