Shailer Park Medical Centre was established by Dr Nigel Johnson on February 1, 1983 – the same day Medicare commenced. The surgery was first located in Bulwarna Street. In the following years he was joined by Doctors Maureen Fitzsimon, Glennys Hayes (retired), Craig Glasby (retired), Neil Fletcher, Gabrielle Dellit (retired), Bonnie Howarth (retired) and Peter Mills. The surgery grew with the population and expanded to another two locations – Roselea Street and Bryants Road, Shailer Park. In 1998 all three surgeries amalgamated to newly refurbished rooms in Bryants Road, Shailer Park. Dr Johnson resigned from Shailer Park Medical in Nov 2010 to pursue his interest in skin cancer medicine.
February 1st, 2014 Shailer Park Medical relocated to purpose build, fresh new premises at Shop 6 Riverlakes Shopping Village, Cnr Beenleigh – Redland Bay Road and Logandale Blvd Cornubia, where we continue to practice.
