Rebecca has been a registered Psychologist since 2008. Rebecca has worked in private, local government and school settings. She is particularly passionate about working with young adults, adolescents and their families. Rebecca has worked with clients on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bullying, family breakdown/family transitions, grief and loss, school refusal and personal development. Rebecca also has skills in developing and facilitating group programs for young people and parents (Tuning into Teens program).
Rebecca’s draws on various therapeutic approaches in her work including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Rebecca believes it is important to tailor treatment to the individual and engage client’s strengths in order to encourage positive change. She is committed to developing a positive therapeutic relationship with clients so individuals feel comfortable to explore their personal issues and concerns. Rebecca aims to empower clients through addressing issues that affect self worth, encouraging self-awareness and improving coping skills.
