Oasis Integrative Medicine was established as a practise by Dr Jonathan Turtle in November 2017 and has been joined by our team of allied health professionals during the middle of 2018.
Dr Turtle began practice as a General Practitioner in Canberra in 1982. Very soon it became clear to Dr Turtle that the pharmaceutically centred orthodox medical model, while incredibly valuable in insights and treatment for many conditions, especially in acute conditions, had significant limitations for many others, especially chronic medical conditions. Undertaking a continual process of further study into Nutritional and Environmental medicine and the nature and management of chronic disease, Dr Turtle attained a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 1986.
Creating a similar team of multidisciplinary practitioners, Dr Turtle directed Canberra’s premier practice of integrative medicine for over 20 years, until in 2012 he moved to Sydney. In Sydney Dr Turtle initially worked for existing practices including Pymble Grove Health Centre and Avenue Rd Medical Practice.
In 2016 he returned to directing his own practice, and in November 2017 setup Oasis Integrative Medicine to develop a co-ordinated multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals in order to provide a centre of excellence in the diagnosis and management of chronic health problems.
