Norfolk House Medical Centre
Our practice encourages patients to see their choice of GP wherever possible to allow continuity of care. We also have an emergency doctor available every day to assist with any urgent problems that may arise.
We have a well-equipped treatment room area with 5 clinical areas plus a dedicated emergency room for any medical emergencies that may arise. Norfolk House Medical Centre has eight GP’s working at the centre, ranging from full time to part time. We also support the GPEx Training Program as well as the Flinders University Medical Rural Clinical School. Currently the practice is hosting a registrar and we are also hosting several medical students throughout 2016. We believe both these training programs are vital in supporting and training our future rural GP’s. All our GP’s have admitting rights to the Victor Harbor Private Hospital and some also have Surgical and Anaesthetic priviliges.
We have several longstanding GP’s in the practice who have been here from between 10-25 years, including Dr Brian Lynch and Dr Sara Norton. Although Dr Fowler is no longer offering General Practice he is now focusing on Skin Cancer treatment and lesion removal, as well as some general hand and foot surgery. Dr Stephen Brooks is now an accredited Skin Cancer Doctor and runs clinics for skin checks and lesion removals. Dr Graham Mulvihill has now been at our practice for 4 years since relocating from the UK. Along with general consulting he is now also running a Cosmetic Clinic for wrinkle treatment within the practice. Dr Nick Woodroffe and Dr Nigel Russell commenced working at Norfolk House Medical Centre in 2014. Our newest GP Dr Jessica Weekes joined the practice in September 2016.
