Sarah is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Following a year of working overseas, she is also qualified to practice in New Zealand as a Registered Dietitian (RD). She completed a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Flinders University.
Sarah feels there is no ‘one size fits all approach’ for clients to achieve good health and nutrition:
“I strongly believe in a holistic approach to health where weight is not the focus. Every person is different. I strive to work in partnership with clients to develop positive health behaviours by providing practical dietary/lifestyle recommendations, education and ongoing support in a non-judgemental setting. Whether the client is through achieving specific goals or self-management of their health condition(s); I am extremely passionate about empowering clients to become the best version of themselves.”
Over four years of clinical practice, Sarah has worked in a number of locations across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. While she has experience in a broad range of clinical conditions, her areas of interest include:
- Weight management including overweight and malnutrition. - Nutrition for pregnancy and breastfeeding. - Healthy eating for children and youth. - Chronic condition management such as Diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure - Gastrointestinal health including irritable bowel syndrome and food intolerances/allergies - Support for individuals surrounding good nutrition and healthy eating
