Rosemarie is a fully-registered psychologist with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and two Masters, one of Counselling and another of Counselling Psychology. She has an extensive experience working with families and children from diverse cultural backgrounds, and currently works for the Department of Education and Training as a school psychologist. Rosemarie specialise in clinical assessments. She adopts an Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT) approach towards social and behavioural interventions. Rosemarie’s goal in therapy is to develop strong therapeutic alliances and to design clinical formulations and treatment mostly from a Psychodynamic base. Her professional development interests have included Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness/Acceptance Therapy (ACT) training and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT) training. Rosemarie has also trained in the Sign Post Program, assisting parents to manage children with intellectual disability and the SKIPS program. Rosemarie is proficient in administering cognitive assessments and other psychological assessments that comprise of detecting Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and other mental health conditions. She applies motivational interviewing strategies for adult client work. In addition, she complement this work with her knowledge in dealing with family difficulties and by adapting Family Systems Theories to support families.
