Rima is a clinical and forensic psychologist with a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology. She has experience working in clinical and forensic settings. Rima is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS colleges of clinical and forensic psychology. She has associate membership with the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychology, Psychiatry and the Law.

She is also an accredited counsellor with the NSW Children’s Commission Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme (Clinical level) with adults and adolescents and she is affiliated with several other clinical and forensic organisations. She is also a casual lecturer at Macquarie Univeristy.

Rima has worked for the NSW Department of Corrective Services, both within the community and in custody-based settings, providing assessment and treatment to offenders. Her specialisation in forensic psychology has equipped her with the expertise to conduct forensic assessments and report writing for a range of issues, including criminal and civil matters.

She is also working for St John of God Health Care as a trauma specialist, and has a comprehensive understanding of psychological issues affecting emergency response workers, military personnel, and civilian populations.

Rima has specialised in facilitating Offender Management Programmes, treating offender populations in areas such as domestic violence, anger, and substance misuse. Rima also provides counselling and therapy for individuals experiencing depression, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, interpersonal problems, emotional disturbance, stress, personality difficulties and self-esteem issues. Rima adapts treatment to each individuals needs, utilising cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence-based treatment modalities.
